Cockatiels have 22 different color mutations and can differ so much in colors that not all of them have the orange cheek patch, which is their most common recognized characteristic.

They adore brightly coloured, glossy plastic toys that have moving pieces and bells that sound. Never have I met a cockatiel that wasn’t obsessed with paper. Your cockatiel can get much-needed exercise and hours of entertainment by weaving strips of paper into the cage bars.

Use foraging devices to conceal your cockatiel’s food, just like in the wild. For any caged bird, using enjoyable activities instead of feeding bowls is the perfect way to pass the time.
